Seamus Power the defending champion did not have powershaya 'Ravens Rock' to remember last weekend in his native Kilkenny. The Windgap man with his daughter Katie were forced to retire after the first loop with clutch problems in their Mk11 but there was one good out come from the event as he retains the lead in the TRITON SHOWERS South East Stages Rally Championship. Paschal O'Shea also holds on to his second place in the championship.
.
From what I saw of Paschal yesterday he is a man of many talents and we can now add singing to his repertoire. He made a lot of Welsh friends yesterday and one or two said he had the voice of an angel.
.
Back to the important news and the championship leaderboard. The BIG mover over the 'Rock' weekend was John Murphy as he and his co driver Niall Fitzpatrick have moved from 5th in the table to share second place with Paschal on 56 points.
.
Mick Nevin and David Forde are now in 4th and Co. Cork's Ray Benskin (Jnr) with Ollie Kierce calling the note now hold 5th.
.
The next round in this year's championship in on Sunday week at the Sean Conlon Memorial Forestry Rally, Mitchelstown, the 8th of July.
